Backlogs in Work Items in DevOps

DevOps > Boards > Backlogs

Backlogs giving you iteration updates. What user stories are iterating. What iterations and backlogs do you have?

On the left are your backlogs and on the right are your iterations.

We haven't iterated yet. Go to your user stories, we have an area having iterations. Iterations now mean weeks. We haven't set a start or end date for our project or designated any areas as such.

Add Project duration and Iterations from Project Settings

  • Interations
  • Area
    • Your team will utilise this area to determine what appears in the team's backlog. Imagine having numerous teams in your project, like development. They have different user stories, testers, QA, operational team, and DevOps engineers. If you wish to separate user stories by team, build various sections.
      • Area helping you manage your area and manage the backlogs.
      • Area help the areas will help teams to determine what shows up in the team's backlog basically.
    • Use Area we created above
      • Restrict your user story area/team wise
      • Go to Boards > Backlogs > click User Story
        • Change all 3, Add Tag, Change Area and Iteration in that User      story
      • Now our above user story will get removed both from backlogs and boards
